BQOOC CREW (VOLUNTEERS/COORDINATORS) POSE WITH SUZI @ THE CHASE STONE BARN QUILT BLOCK IN JUNE 2014
Suzi will be back to showcase her newly released book, and our barn quilts trail is included in that book! Her book includes information on two of our barn quilts...the Chase Stone Barn (which was our first block up here in Oconto County) and the Brock family farm in Gillett.
Join us for a fun evening with Suzi at the Gillett Library. Get an autographed copy of her book, meet Suzi, and enjoy refreshments.

PICTURES FROM SUZI'S FIRST VISIT HERE IN 2014:

The morning started with a "Meet and Greet" at New View Industries. Pictured is the beautiful quilt made by BQOOC volunteer Donna Baird of all of the Oconto County barn quilt blocks.

The first stop on the tour was at the Brock farm in Gillett where they have a "Dairy Cow" block installed on their barn. In this picture, Suzi is interviewing Russel Brock on the history of their farm.

The second stop was at the Lucas farm in Lena. Gayle was nice enough to serve us a tasty rhubarb cake.

The third stop was at the Chase Stone Barn, which is the location of our first barn quilt up in Oconto County. We were able to tour the barn and get information on its history.
In the evening, Suzi gave a presentation on the American barn quilt trail movement at the Gillett Public Library.
Several quilts from area quilters were on display.
